Mohsen Veisi

Dr. Mohsen Veisi is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Sussex Business School, specializing in political economy and macroeconomic development. He serves as course director for the MSc Economics and Management and MSc Economics and Finance programs. He holds a PhD and MRes in Economics from the University of Manchester (2012–2016), an MA in Economics from the same institution (2010–2011), and a BSc in Theoretical Economics from the University of Isfahan, Iran (2005–2009).

His research focuses on political economy dynamics and macroeconomic frameworks for development, with an emphasis on policy implications. He has secured grants including two 'Discovery Economics: Outreach to Enrich' projects (2020–2023) funded by the Royal Economic Society, collaborating with researchers like G. Cagliesi and S.
