معرفی
Dr. Mohammad Shahsavari is a Research Fellow in the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering Group at the University of Oxford. His work focuses on fluid-solid interactions, plasma-assisted combustion, and combustion instabilities. He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (2016) and has conducted postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University and the University of Birmingham as a Marie Skodowska-Curie Fellow.
Research Interests:
- Fluid-Solid Interactions
- Plasma-Assisted Combustion
- Combustion Instabilities
- Supercritical Fluid Dynamics
- Thermoacoustic Systems
Publications highlight his contributions to understanding plasma effects on ammonia combustion, flame dynamics in low-swirl flows, and thermoacoustic instability mitigation. His work bridges computational modeling (DNS, RANS) with experimental insights to advance clean energy technologies.
Scientific Awards:
- Marie Skodowska-Curie Fellowship (2019–2021)
Advising and Grants: Currently leads research projects on low-emission combustion systems and plasma-assisted ignition, leveraging interdisciplinary collaborations in fluid mechanics and materials engineering. No formal advisees listed, but contributes to mentoring junior researchers in his groups.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering Group at Oxford, collaborating with the Impact Engineering team on multiphase flow challenges.
