Mohammad Mehrmohammadi

Mohammad Mehrmohammadi is an Associate Professor with Tenure in Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State University, holding Adjunct Appointments in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a scientific member and part of the research steering committee at the Molecular Imaging Program at Karmanos Cancer Institute.

He specializes in designing and clinically validating novel ultrasound modalities for cancer detection, maternal-fetal care, and image-guided interventions, combining nano-biotechnology and bioinstrumentation.

His scientific achievements include securing grants such as the Department of Defense Breakthrough Award (2018), DMC Foundation Grant (2020), and Karmanos Cancer Institute Seed Grant (2017).
