Mohammad Masjed-Jamei

Professor Mohammad Masjed-Jamei is a faculty member at the Department of Mathematics, K.N. Toosi University of Technology. His academic rank is Professor. He holds two Ph.D.s: one from Amirkabir University (2008) and another from Kassel University, Germany (2006). His research focuses on Numerical Analysis, Special Functions, Orthogonal Polynomials, Integral Transforms, and related areas. He has published over 130 papers in prestigious journals such as the Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society and Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics.

His research interests include developing new interpolation formulas, quadrature rules, and expansions using linear operators. Notable contributions include work on the 'Least p-Variances Theory' and a book titled 'Special Functions and Generalized Sturm-Liouville Problems' (Springer). He has advised numerous PhD and Master’s students.

Professor Masjed-Jamei has received the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Research Scholarship (2017-2019). His teaching includes courses like Numerical Analysis and Ordinary Differential Equations. His work often bridges theoretical mathematics with practical applications in numerical methods and function approximation.
