Mohammad Al Samman

Mohammad Al Samman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Bosnia and Herzegovina. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2020 and conducted postdoctoral research at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. Since joining IUS in 2021, he has served as the Electrical Engineering Program Coordinator since 2024.

His research focuses on

• Artificial intelligence applications in power systems

Recent work explores optimization techniques for network reconfiguration and sustainable power distribution systems with distributed generation.

Mohammad has published in reputable journals, emphasizing methodologies like biogeography-based optimization and simplified network approaches to enhance grid efficiency and reliability.
