Mohamed Zied BABAI is a Senior Professor of Operations Management at KEDGE Business School. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from École Centrale Paris and a qualification of research supervision from the University of Bordeaux. His academic career includes positions at École Centrale Paris, Salford University (UK), and Bucks New University (UK). He specializes in demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. His research has been funded by the ANR (France) and the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). He currently serves as Editor-In-Chief of the Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal and Associate Editor of the IMA Journal of Management Mathematics.
Dr. BABAI’s research focuses on advanced forecasting techniques, including applications of machine learning for intermittent demand, medical supply chain optimization during crises, and inventory control under uncertainty. His work bridges theoretical models with practical industry challenges, particularly in healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.
