Dr. Mohamed Zahran is a Professor at the Computer Science Department, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. His research focuses on hardware/software interaction, high-performance exascale computing, heterogeneous systems architecture, and biologically inspired computing. He has authored over forty refereed papers and a book on heterogeneous computing from hardware and software perspectives.
- Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Maryland at College Park
He has served on organizing committees for ACM and IEEE conferences, including Computing Frontiers (CF), IPDPS, HPCA, ICS, and SC. Zahran has also participated in review panels at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Department of Energy (DoE).
