Dr. Mohamed Torbati is an Associate Professor in the Mechatronics Research Group at the University of Southampton's School of Engineering. He holds a PhD from the Signal Processing and Control Research Group at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (1995). His research focuses on energy harvesting and storage, including DC power generation from mechanical motion, piezoelectric energy harvesting, and magnetic gear design for energy systems. He currently serves as Director of Internationalisation for the School of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Exchange Coordinator, and Senior International Tutor.
