Dr. Mohamed Doukali is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS), appointed since September 2023. His academic journey includes prior roles as Assistant Professor at the University of East Anglia's School of Economics (UK) and a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University. He holds a PhD from the University of Montreal.
His research focuses on econometrics and finance, with recent emphasis on developing econometric tools for big data analysis in empirical finance and economics, leveraging high-dimensional models. Key contributions address topics such as health inequality measurement using copula methods, financial risk analysis under measurement error, and causal inference frameworks in expectile regression.
Teaching responsibilities at ULMS include coordinating the Applied Microeconometrics module (ECON826) and contributing to Development of Economic Thought (ECON128).
