Mohamed Badawy is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at San José State University, where he established the Center of Power Electronic Converters (CPEC). He holds a Ph.D. (2016) and M.Sc. (2012) from The University of Akron, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University (2007). Prior to academia, he worked in the power generation industry with PGESCo.
