Mohamad Musa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Cape Breton University. He holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Windsor and specializes in mental health research among migrant populations from the Middle East in Atlantic Canada.

His work focuses on improving mental health systems through collaboration with service users and providers, particularly addressing perceptions of mental illness and health education disparities in migrant communities. Mohamad brings extensive clinical practice experience from roles as a Clinical Therapist in Ontario's post-secondary institutions, youth health organizations, and justice agencies.
As a faculty member at Cape Breton University, he contributes to social work education and research while acknowledging the institution's location in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaw People.
