Mohamad Al Khayer is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Architecture at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. He has taught design studios and emerging technologies courses since 2000, focusing on structural analysis, deployable systems, and material dynamics. His research explores deployable structures, optimum tensile systems, and morphogenesis.
Al Khayer holds a B.Arch from Tishreen University and an M.Arch from Pratt Institute. He practices with RBS+D Architects, specializing in healthcare facilities across the US and Middle East. He has lectured globally at institutions like IUTAM (Cambridge, UK) and Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), with work exhibited in Venice, New York, Beirut, and Damascus. His contributions span academic, professional, and exhibition platforms.
