Mizan Ahmed is a Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Curtin University's School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on computational mechanics and advanced composite structures, including steel-concrete systems and fire-resistant designs. Recent work analyzes impact resistance of bridge piers and strengthening techniques for concrete walls.
He serves on editorial boards for Buildings and Frontiers in Built Environment, and organizes international conferences on material strength and applied mechanics. Teaching includes reinforced concrete design and structural analysis.
