Mitsuteru Inoue serves as Professor at the Graduate School of Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) and concurrently holds executive trustee and vice president roles at TUT since 2014. Previously, he was Professor in TUT's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2001-2013) and Associate Professor at TUT (1993-1996), with affiliations at Tohoku University's Research Institute of Electrical Communication (1997-1999) and visiting professorships at Stanford University (2003) and Moscow State University (2004).
He earned his B.S. in Information Engineering (1981), M.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1983), and Dr.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1989) from Toyohashi University of Technology.
His research centers on spin-coupled wave propagation phenomena in amorphous alloys and magnetic garnet thin films, specializing in phase modulation of magneto-surface-acoustic-waves, optical wave control, and high-frequency magnetostatic/spin wave manipulation. Key applications include magneto-optical spatial light modulators, 3D MO displays, non-destructive MO imaging, magnetic hologram recording, and spin-wave logic circuits.
No scientific awards or honors are documented in the provided biography.
