Mitchell Olson

Mitchell Olson is a Research Associate Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University's Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering. His work focuses on managing chemical contaminants in the environment, particularly PFAS and hydrocarbons, through biological and abiotic remediation technologies. He integrates natural processes like monitored natural attenuation (MNA) and natural source zone depletion (NSZD) into site management strategies.

With over a decade in consulting and academia, Olson has led large-scale projects such as the Pantex Plant bioremediation initiative and directed corporate programs for emerging contaminants.
