Mitch Shue

Mitch Shue is a Teaching Professor in the School of Computing at Clemson University since 2019, and Executive Director of Clemson’s AI Research Institute for Science and Engineering (AIRISE). He transitioned from a 25-year industry career as a CTO and venture partner to academia, focusing on teaching cloud computing, ethics, and AI. His professional journey includes roles at Morningstar, HelloWallet, webMethods, and multiple startups.

Research & Teaching Interests: Cloud computing architecture, cybersecurity for connected vehicles, AI ethics, and bridging industry-academia gaps through practical education. His recent publications emphasize leveraging commercial cloud infrastructure for smart transportation systems.
