Mischa Bonn

Mischa Bonn is an Honorary Professor at the Chemistry and Physics Departments of Mainz University, Germany, and serves as Director of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P) in Mainz since 2011. Her career spans dual appointments in chemistry and physics, reflecting her interdisciplinary research focus.

• PhD in Physical Chemistry (1996) from AMOLF and Eindhoven University
• Master of Science in Physical Chemistry (1993) from the University of Amsterdam

Her research focuses on physical chemistry, surface dynamics, and biomolecular interactions, particularly through ultrafast spectroscopic studies. She has led research groups in the Netherlands and Germany, including at the FOM-Institute for Atomic and Molecular Physics and the Fritz Haber Institute.
