Her research focuses on the genetics of obesity and cardiovascular disease, particularly among minority populations. She investigates gene-environment interactions, genetic architecture in African and Hispanic populations, and health disparities.
Dr. Graff has received awards including the Tiger New Investigator Award (2014) and the New Investigator Travel Award (2014). She is a member of the Obesity Society, American Heart Association, and American Society for Human Genetics.
Her work bridges genetic and environmental risk factors, with recent publications in Nature and Human Molecular Genetics, addressing topics like rare genetic variants and lipid metabolism disparities. She advocates for greater diversity in genomic research to improve precision medicine for non-white populations.
