Miroslava Kinczer is a research scientist at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, specializing in cognitive anthropology and social gerontology.
She completed her Master's degree (Mgr.) in Social Anthropology at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University, Bratislava in 2013. Since 2021, she has been pursuing doctoral studies while conducting research at the institute.
Her research focuses on cognitive anthropology, examining how cultural knowledge is structured and transmitted within communities, alongside social gerontology which investigates aging processes and elderly experiences in contemporary Slovak society. Her work contributes to understanding social transformations related to demographic changes and aging populations within Central European contexts.
As part of the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology SAS - one of Slovakia's leading ethnological research institutions founded in 1946 - she participates in research analyzing social relations with emphasis on cultural traditions, collective identities, and post-1989 socio-political transformations in urban and rural environments.
