Mirko Cardinale

Mirko Cardinale is a Visiting Lecturer at the School of Economics and Finance, Queen Mary University of London. He currently serves as Head of Investment Strategy at USS Investment Management Ltd. Previously, he held roles including Head of Strategic Asset Allocation Research at Aviva Investors, and worked at Watson Wyatt advising European investors on asset allocation and third-party manager selection. Earlier, he was a Research Manager at Financial Times Business, authoring articles on pensions and investments.

Dr. Cardinale holds a PhD in Finance from Imperial College London. His research focuses on investment strategy, asset allocation, and pension fund management, with publications in peer-reviewed journals such as the Financial Analysts Journal (FAJ). His professional experience spans over two decades in strategic financial decision-making and institutional investment advisory.
