Dr. Mirjam Bokhorst is a researcher affiliated with the Faculty of Theology at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. She holds a double PhD (2020) from Georg-August-University Göttingen and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Her research focuses on Old Testament studies, textual analysis, and apocalyptic literature, with specializations in Deutero-Isaiah, Enoch traditions, and Dead Sea Scrolls. Since October 2024, she has been a research associate at the Niedersächsische Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Göttingen (Lower Saxony Academy of Sciences).

Her 2021 monograph explores 1 Enoch’s temple imagery, while her 2022 article analyzes the Animal Apocalypse through Pentateuchal intertextuality.
