Miriam Sorace is an Associate Professor in Comparative Politics at the University of Reading and Principal Investigator of the UKRI-funded DIVIDED project on inequality and polarization prevention. She holds a PhD in Political Science from Trinity College Dublin and has held visiting fellowships at the University of Oxford and European University Institute. Her research focuses on democratic accountability, political representation, and computational social science methods.

Research Interests: Specializes in electoral behavior, public opinion analysis, and European Union politics. Leverages machine learning and predictive modeling to study democratic control mechanisms, including accountability and representation. Publications: Over 15 peer-reviewed articles in top journals including European Journal of Political Research and Electoral Studies. Recent work explores policy-opinion linkages and democratic legitimacy in EU governance.
