Miriam Sogn

Miriam Sogn is an Assistant Professor at the Theatre Academy (Oslo National Academy of the Arts), with a career spanning performance, education, and research in the performing arts. She holds a teaching qualification from KHIO (2009-2010) and has served as a part-time voice pedagogue since 2013, teaching acting, voice communication, and scenic integration.

• Education: Actor training at the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre (1994-1997), teaching qualification from KHIO (2009-2010)
• Roles: Voice teacher, acting subject manager, program participant/manager in educational podcasts, supervisor for acting students

Research Focus: Her pedagogical research explores voice development, language transition methods, and scenic communication. Notable projects include the Aaron theatre performance (2023) and studies on actor training techniques.

Collaborative Work: She co-created educational podcasts on voice training and acting talent assessment, while directing plays at NSKI University College and working in both institutional and independent Norwegian theatre.

Artistic Practice: Active as an actress in institutional theatres, independent productions, and media such as television, film, radio theatre, and dubbing.
