معرفی
Dr. Miriam Menzel is an Assistant Professor at TU Delft and affiliated with the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (INM-1) at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Her research focuses on developing Scattered Light Imaging to resolve complex nerve fiber structures in biological tissues. This innovative technique enables micrometer-resolution imaging of crossing neural pathways, with applications in hardware development, multi-modal brain imaging, and clinical diagnostics.
Her expertise spans experimental/theoretical optics, scatterometry, and polarimetry. She leads the Menzel Lab, which integrates optical system engineering, computational imaging, and light-matter interaction simulations. Notable achievements include the Helmholtz Doctoral Prize (2019) and the Klaus Tschira Boost Fellowship (2021).
Collaborations include research visits at TU Delft’s ImPhys and participation in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. Her work bridges fundamental optics research with biomedical applications, advancing non-invasive neuroimaging techniques for clinical use.
