Dr Miriam DeCock is Assistant Professor in Biblical Studies at Dublin City University's School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music, specializing in New Testament and Early Christianity. Her research examines early Christian exegetical traditions, focusing on Greek patristic writers and New Testament reception history.
She investigates interpretive methods in early Christian communities, particularly analyzing works by Origen of Alexandria, John Chrysostom, Cyril of Alexandria, Theodore of Mopsuestia, and Theodoret of Cyrus. Recent publications explore Origen's exegetical authority frameworks and pseudepigraphical narratives in early Christian literature.
Dr DeCock holds a PhD in Early Christianity from McMaster University and previously held a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship at Aarhus University. Her scholarly contributions include:
