Professor Mirela Kohr is a faculty member at Babeş-Bolyai University's Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her research focuses on fluid mechanics, partial differential equations, potential theory, and geometric function theory in complex analysis. She has contributed extensively to boundary value problems involving Brinkman, Stokes, and Navier-Stokes systems, with applications to porous media and manifolds.
Her work integrates theoretical analysis with practical applications, addressing issues like transmission problems in Lipschitz domains and asymptotic behavior of fluid flows. Kohr has collaborated on variational methods and layer potential techniques for solving complex PDE systems on Riemannian manifolds. Notable contributions include studies on Loewner chains, Bohr radii, and support points in infinite-dimensional spaces.
Kohr has published prolifically, with over 150 articles since 2003. Her grants include a UEFISCDI-CNCS PNII-ID-PCE-2011-3-0994 project on geometric function theory in several complex variables. She maintains active research collaborations, reflected in her international conference participations and institutional affiliations.
