Mirela Garren

Mirela Garren is an Associate Professor of French and Humanities at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where she chairs the Modern Language Department. Since joining in 2015, she has focused on teaching French language, literature, and culture across Europe and North America, integrating innovative methods like theater into language education to enhance student engagement and performance character.

She also participated in EU initiatives such as Socrates and Comenius, securing grants for international educational mobility programs.

Dr. Garren is renowned for founding a French-language theatrical group that won national and international accolades, merging her passion for theater and pedagogy. Her work emphasizes student-centered learning and cross-cultural understanding, fostering academic excellence across continents.
