Mireia Manzano is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the Department of Pre-Registration Nursing within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Worcester. Originally from Barcelona, she qualified as an adult nurse in 2016 and has since gained clinical experience in accident and emergency departments (Bristol), oncology outpatients (Bristol), and midwifery (completed at London South Bank University in 2022). Her academic journey includes a BSc in Nursing, a BSc in Humanities, and a short course in Midwifery.

Mireia focuses on evidence-based practice, bridging theoretical knowledge with applied nursing skills. Her research interests include acute care in emergency settings, applied physiology/physiopathology, and nursing ethics and philosophy. She aims to advance her academic career while supporting students in their educational development.
She has also completed a professional course in Principles of Cancer Care at the University of the West of England, expanding her expertise in oncology and haematology nursing.
