Miranda Stewart

Miranda Stewart is a Professor of Law at the University of Melbourne Law School and serves as Director of the Tax Group. She holds an Honorary Professor position and is a Fellow at the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute at the Crawford School of Public Policy, The Australian National University (ANU), where she previously directed the Institute from 2014 to 2017. Her research focuses on taxation law and policy, including topics such as taxation of businesses, international tax frameworks, budget institutions, and gender equality within tax systems. She emphasizes the resilience and fairness of tax systems in supporting effective governance.
