Dr. Miranda Mote is a Lecturer and Studio Coordinator in the Program in Architecture at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania, with additional appointments as Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute. She holds a BArch from University of Cincinnati (1995), MDes in History and Philosophy of Design from Harvard University (2015), and PhD in History and Theory of Architecture from University of Pennsylvania (2021). Her research bridges historical landscapes, environmental justice, and K-12 pedagogy.
Research focuses on botanical history, environmental literacy development through school garden transformations, and seventeenth-century healing gardens. Key initiatives include developing the DIGS curriculum and HIVE teaching games to advance STEM education through ecological engagement.

- Fellow of the American Academy in Rome (FAAR)
Founded Botanography nonprofit to redesign Philadelphia schools as botanical gardens and serves on ASLA's K-12 Education and Career Discovery committee.
