Miranda Andrews

Dr. Miranda Andrews (she/her) is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Springfield, affiliated with the School of Integrated Sciences, Sustainability, and Public Health. Her research bridges Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry with a focus on photoswitchable molecules, secondary bonding interactions, and thermomechanical properties. She also specializes in alternative grading systems and specifications grading within the Science of Teaching and Learning.

• BS in Chemistry, University of Louisiana at Monroe (Biochemistry concentration, Spanish minor)

Research trends from her publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches combining Organic Synthesis, Spectroscopy, and Materials Engineering to manipulate molecular properties via isomerization. Her work spans supramolecular assembly, redox chemistry, and thermodynamic analysis.
