Mira Boczniowicz

Dr. hab. Mira Boczniowicz serves as Professor at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Arts and Design in Wrocław, holding primary affiliation with the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass and Department of Interdisciplinary Activities in Ceramics and Glass while also teaching in the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Media Art, particularly within part-time Graphic Design studies.

Her research pioneers transdisciplinary art through investigations of visual grammar across installation, graphic arts, photography, and film media. She examines iconography, iconolatry systems, and gender optics while utilizing inventiveness as a core methodology for constructing audiovisual narratives. Projects integrate cognitive science of words and performance theory, with medium selection directly shaped by humanistic and posthumanistic conceptual frameworks that determine final artistic representation.

Professor Boczniowicz provides individualized student mentorship during artistic production and post-production phases. She spearheaded the conceptual transformation of the Department of General Visual Arts into the current Department of Interdisciplinary Activities in Ceramics and Glass, reflecting her commitment to evolving pedagogical structures.
