Dr. Minh Tung Le is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick since September 2019. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester (2019), supervised by Prof. Alejandro Saporiti and Prof. Antonio Nicolo, preceded by an MPhil in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge (2014) and a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Bristol (2013).
His research centers on Applied Microeconomic Theory, Public Economics, and Political Economy, with a focus on behavioral factors in political decision-making. Key themes include voting stability under inequity aversion, dynamic electoral competition incorporating psychological elements like loss-aversion, and social preferences in distributive conflicts.
Recent publications demonstrate consistent exploration of behavioral political economy, bridging theoretical models with real-world policy analysis. His work appears in journals including Public Choice and Journal of Public Economics, emphasizing empirical relevance alongside theoretical rigor.
Dr. Le serves as Principal Investigator for the British Academy/Leverhulme-funded project "Misallocation, Price Control and Weather Shocks in Vietnam" (2025–2027). He teaches core modules including EC134: Topics in Applied Economics, EC231: Industrial Economics 1, EC961: Industrial Economics, and EC957: Microeconomics for MSc Finance, maintaining dedicated advice and feedback hours for students.
