Dr. Mingzhen Tian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at George Mason University. His research focuses on quantum information science, nonlinear optics, and laser atomic spectroscopy, with emphasis on rare-earth ion-based quantum memory and computation. He holds experimental and theoretical research positions involving cryogenic laser spectroscopy and quantum logic gate development.
