Dr. Minghao Yu is a Research Group Leader at the Chair of Molecular Functional Materials, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. He leads the ERC-funded 'BattSkin' group focused on developing advanced energy storage materials and technologies. His academic journey includes a PhD in Material Physics and Chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University (2017) and a Humboldt Research Fellowship-supported postdoc at TU Dresden (2017–2019).
Research interests center on 2D layered materials, advanced battery interphases, and sustainable energy storage systems including aqueous batteries, supercapacitors, and multivalent ion batteries. He has over 120 publications (h-index 68) and secured prestigious grants like the ERC Starting Grant (2023).
