Dr. Mina Raminsabet is a Lecturer in Persian Language and Literature at the University of Oklahoma’s Farzaneh Family Center for Iranian and Persian Gulf Studies, affiliated with the David L. Boren College of International Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Persian Language and Literature from the University of Tehran. With over 10 years of teaching experience, she specializes in Persian language instruction for heritage and non-heritage learners, integrating ACTFL proficiency standards and cultural literacy.
Her research focuses on classical Persian poetry, textual criticism, and the intellectual history of Persian literary figures. She has published works on Sultan Walad, Rumi, and medieval Sufi thinkers. Dr. Raminsabet is a certified ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview tester and contributes to professional organizations like AATP and ACTFL. She also participates in literary prize committees and editorial work with World Literature Today.
Her scholarly articles (2015-2019) explore Sufi thought, textual analysis of major poets, and intersections between Islamic philosophy and Persian literary traditions. While no specific awards are listed, her active editorial and organizational roles reflect her leadership in Persian studies.
