معرفی
Prof. Milutin Kovacev is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Quantum Optics, Leibniz University Hannover, Germany. He holds roles in the Executive Board of the Institute and leads the Ultrafast Laser Laboratory. His research focuses on ultrafast laser physics, nonlinear optics, and X-ray science, with expertise in femtosecond laser filamentation, harmonic generation, and plasmonics. He is a member of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft (DPG) and the Optical Society (OPTICA), and serves as a reviewer for multiple foundations including DFG and CNRS.
Education: PhD in Physics (2003, Université Paris XI, France); Diploma in Physics (1999, Technical University of Hannover). Past positions include Junior Professor (2006–2014) and visiting scientist roles at LOA (France) and Lund High Power Laser Facility (Sweden).
Research Interests: Laser filamentation, attosecond physics, X-ray imaging, plasmonic nanostructures, and optical radiometry. His work emphasizes applications in nanophotonics, laser safety, and advanced spectroscopic techniques like conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy.
Awards/Positions:
- Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship (2004–2005)
- Research Group Leader in DFG Clusters: PhoenixD, Quantum Frontiers, and QUEST
- Laser Safety Officer at Institute of Quantum Optics
Labs/Teams: Leads the Ultrafast Laser Laboratory and collaborates on projects like the synchronized VUV beamline at FLASH2. His group explores plasmonic nanoantennas and strong-field interactions.
