Miller S. Wright

Miller S. Wright is a researcher in the Department of History at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He specializes in the Native American slave trade in North America and Brazil during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, with a focus on how Native captivity practices and the Native slave trade influenced conceptions of race, bondage, and indigeneity in the broader Atlantic slave trade.
