Prof. Miljenko Konjačić, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Animal Science and Technology within the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture. With a career spanning over two decades at the institution, he has progressed from young researcher to senior assistant and assistant professor before reaching his current rank. His research focuses on cattle breeding, biotechnology applications in livestock production, and conservation of genetic resources.

Recent research projects include Genetic, economic and social interactions of local breed conservation programs funded by the Croatian Science Foundation and Strah divlje svinje od lova examining wild boar impacts on farming systems.
Konjačić has coordinated multiple initiatives including genetic characterization projects for domestic animals in Croatia funded by the University of Zagreb and World Bank collaborations. He teaches courses in cattle breeding, farm management, and biotechnologies in animal husbandry, with a focus on sustainable production systems.
