Milena Methodieva is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto's Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, specializing in Ottoman, Turkish, and Balkan history. Her research explores political, social, and intellectual transformations in the late Ottoman Empire, its successors in the Balkans, and modern Turkey, with a focus on marginalized groups and transnational contexts.
