Milana Trounce is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Her career spans leadership roles in academic medicine, including serving as Medical Director for Disaster Response at UCSF and directing Stanford's BioSecurity Program, which focuses on protecting society from pandemics and biothreats.

- Completed emergency medicine residency and fellowship in Disaster Medicine at Harvard Medical School
- Received MBA from Stanford Business School
Her research explores interdisciplinary approaches to interrupting transmission of infectious organisms, integrating expertise from biology, medicine, public health, engineering, and policy. She has developed educational programs, including Stanford's BioSecurity and Pandemic Resilience course and an online Harvard course on biological terrorism response.
She co-founded the BioSecurity initiative at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and consults globally on healthcare systems and pandemic preparedness. Her work is associated with Stanford BioSecurity, the Hoover Institute, and collaborations with Harvard and MIT.
