Milan Navrátil

Assoc. Prof. Milan Navrátil, Ph.D., serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Measurement at the Faculty of Applied Informatics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, a position held continuously since 2005.

His academic foundation includes a habilitation in Machine and Process Control (2025) and doctoral studies in Technical Cybernetics (2002–2008), both completed at Tomas Bata University in Zlín's Faculty of Applied Informatics. Earlier, he earned a Master's degree in Automation and Control Technology in the Consumer Industry from Brno University of Technology (1997–2002) and attended Dairy Technical High School in Kroměříž (1993–1997).

Research interests center on Control Systems and Automation, with specialized focus on Measurement Systems and Machine Control applications in industrial contexts. His technical cybernetics background informs work spanning electronics instrumentation and process optimization.

Internationally, Navrátil has lectured under Erasmus programs at Portugal's Polytechnic Institute of Beja (2022, 2024) and Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (2023), following a 2004 internship at the UK's BLC-Leather Technology Centre.

University governance roles include membership on the Faculty of Applied Informatics Academic Senate since 2006 (six consecutive terms) and service on the Dean's Board.
