Miklos VARI

Miklos VARI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at ESSEC Business School (France). His research focuses on bank and central bank interventions in financial markets, with particular attention to liquidity regulation and monetary policy interactions. He holds a PhD from the Paris School of Economics (2017) and a Master's degree from the same institution (2012).

• Current Position: Full-time Assistant Professor at ESSEC Business School (2024–present)

Before joining academia, he worked as a research economist at the Bank of France, an economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and an analyst in the Market Operations Department of the European Central Bank (ECB). His work bridges theoretical frameworks with historical policy analysis, particularly examining how liquidity regulations impact central bank effectiveness.

Miklos has published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. His 2023 article explores the tension between liquidity regulations and monetary policy tools, offering historical and theoretical insights.
