Mikko Antikainen

Mikko Antikainen serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Jyväskylä School of Business and Economics. He holds a Doctor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Hanken School of Economics (2021) and previously earned a Master of Science in Economics with specialization in commercial law from Lappeenranta University of Technology.

His primary academic affiliation is with the School of Business and Economics at the University of Jyväskylä where he teaches in the Commercial Law department. He maintains an additional affiliation as an Affiliated Researcher at Hanken School of Economics.

Dr. Antikainen's research focuses on the intersection of law and technology, with particular emphasis on intellectual property challenges in the digital age. His work explores how traditional legal frameworks adapt to emerging technologies including 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and video games. His doctoral thesis examined protecting digital designs and digital creativity through EU design and copyright law.
