Mike Tinskey

Mike Tinskey is a Professor of the Practice at Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Engineering, focusing on intrapreneurship, electrification, and energy systems. He leads Ford Motor Company's emerging business initiatives, including ultra-fast charging infrastructure (Ionity) and digital insurance (Ford Insure). His expertise spans automotive innovation, sustainability, and corporate venture creation.

Education: MBA from University of Michigan (2000), MSEE from Georgia Tech (Control Theory & Digital Image Processing), and BSEE from Michigan State University (1990). He also completed Executive Education at Ross School of Business (Strategic Marketing) and University of Chicago (Mergers & Acquisitions).

Research interests include fostering innovation within established organizations, electrified vehicle ecosystems, and energy infrastructure resilience.
