Mike Hampton

Mike Hampton Ed.D. is a Professor at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Florida International University. He served as Dean of the school from January 2011 through December 2017. With over 20 years of direct experience in the hospitality industry, Dr. Hampton is recognized as an expert in human resources development, strategic planning, and sales development.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Science in business management from Florida State University
• Master of Science in hotel and food service management from Florida International University
• Education Doctorate in adult education and human resource development from Florida International University

Dr. Hampton's research interests focus on hospitality management, leadership development, and strategic planning. His work has contributed significantly to the fields of coaching, customer service, and team building within the hospitality sector through practical applications in industry training and academic frameworks.

He has received the following award:

• Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association
