Mike Grisso is a Lecturer in Real Estate Development + Design and currently serves as Senior Vice President at Kilroy Realty Corporation (KRC), leading planning and entitlement efforts in San Francisco and the Bay Area. He has over 20 years of real estate development experience, overseeing major projects like The Exchange at Mission Bay (2015) and The Flower Mart (2020). Prior roles include Senior Project Manager at the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency/OCII, where he led the Transbay Redevelopment Project, and Director at CB Richard Ellis. He began his career as a social studies teacher at Thurgood Marshall Academy in Harlem.

- Master of Public Policy & Urban Planning, Harvard University Kennedy School of Government
- MA in Teaching Social Studies, Columbia University Teachers College
- BA in History, University of California, Los Angeles
His research interests focus on integrating urban development with architectural and policy frameworks, emphasizing sustainable mixed-use projects and public/private partnerships. His work on entitlement processes and large-scale urban regeneration has earned national recognition through prestigious awards.

Teaching includes RDEV 209: Integrated Development, Architecture + Urbanism. Outside academia, he actively coaches San Francisco Little League baseball and enjoys swimming in the Bay and skiing.
