Mike Banad is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma's College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He focuses on emerging machine learning applications and hardware implementation of energy-efficient neuromorphic computing.

Research interests include secure and energy-efficient AI hardware, neural-inspired hardware acceleration, and co-design of algorithms and hardware using beyond CMOS technologies. He leads the Neuromorphic Intelligent Computing Systems (NICS) lab, which explores materials, devices, and systems for neuromorphic engineering.
