Mikael Ottosson is a Senior Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Engineering (IEI) within the Business Administration (FEK) division at Linköping University (LiU). He specializes in industrial marketing, sustainability strategies, and market development for sustainable technologies. Previously serving as Head of the Division for Business Administration (2017–2019), he currently leads the Unit for Strategy and Marketing.
His research focuses on how industrial companies can strategically position themselves through market offerings aligned with sustainability demands. Key sectors include the forest industry, energy sector, biogas, and agriculture. He has secured research grants from Riksbanken's anniversary fund, Vinnova, and the Swedish Energy Agency, supporting projects on energy efficiency, market barriers, and sustainable consumption.
