Dr. Mihye Harker is a Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge, specializing in Korean language education. She holds a BA in English Literature from Sogang University (Seoul), an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Warwick, and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Newcastle University. Her career includes teaching roles at Sogang University, Sungkyunkwan University (South Korea), Luton University, Imperial College London, and University College London. Currently, she teaches Korean language courses at the Cambridge Language Centre and coordinates the undergraduate modules K.1 Modern Korean 1 and K.2 Modern Korean 2. Her expertise lies in language pedagogy, with a focus on second language acquisition methodologies and cross-cultural communication strategies.
